Gorham Vineyards is approximately one acre of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon planted in two distinct blocks, or areas located in the Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara AVA. The vineyard is approximately 6 miles east of the quaint town of Santa Ynez, California. The Vineyard was planted in 2006 and the first harvest was in the fall of 2008.

Tim and Susan Gorham purchased their 5 acre property in the “Happy Canyon” area in the eastern portion of the Santa Ynez Valley of Santa Barbara County in 2003. Our one acre vineyard was planted in 2006 with the idea of growing and making the best artesanal wine possible. Our grapes are picked in the fall by friends and family and processed into wine, barreled and stored by Doug Margerum Wine Company in nearby Buellton, California. The vineyard is located in the Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara AVA where Bordeaux varietals are best suited. The Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara AVA is fast becoming well known for its high quality Cabernet Sauvignon.

Hard work and organic farming practices go hand to hand with great wine making to produce a great Cabernet Sauvignon wine.

Love Notes

Hi Tim,
Janet and I had dinner with some of our industry friends on Thursday night and took the bottle of your 2013 Cabernet. They had opened and decanted a 2015 Daou and a 2014 Desperada but your Cabernet was the crowd favorite. It was the most omplex, nicely fruit forward with perfect restraint of tannins and acid. Joseph opened his bottle earlier in the week and gave it rave review as well. Thanks again for sharing it with us. Great job!

Cheers,
Kevin
