2013 Happy Canyon Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon

$45.00

Description:

Harvest 10/20/13, 4.5 tons picked, Brix level at harvest: 26.1, production: 112 cases made (sold 4 full barrels of wine), bottled: June 2015.

Another drought year produced an amazing yield of 4.5 tons of quality grapes. We sold 4 of the 9 total barrels of wine produced to a local wine producer. The growing season was characterized by a long growing season with limited heat spikes and small berries. The resulting blend of 85% estate Cabernet Sauvignon with 15% of other Bordeaux varietals is drinking well with a medium body, soft smooth texture and hints of strawberry and vanilla flavors.

    Hi Tim,
Janet and I had dinner with some of our industry friends on Thursday night and
took the bottle of your 2013 Cabernet. They had opened and decanted a 2015
Daou and a 2014 Desperada but your Cabernet was the crowd favorite. It was
the most complex, nicely fruit forward with perfect restraint of tannins and acid.
Joseph opened his bottle earlier in the week and gave it rave review as well.
Thanks again for sharing it with us. Great job!

    Cheers,
    Kevin
